Wheel Bad News Poem

When you read my latest poem, you can confidently infer that I've had an encounter with a shopping trolley recently.
Well, you're right...
One of those trolleys of the the wobbly wheel kind that keep trying to take you in the wrong direction.

Wheel Bad News

we all know
the wheels on the bus
go round and round,
round and round.

so, why is it
that the wheels on the
shopping trolley
go wibble, wobble, wonk
wibble, wobble, wonk?

they should be going
round and round,
round and round
-just like the wheels on the bus
go round and round.

it's wheely bad I tell you
-wheely bad

    1. Thanks Sally. Lots of serious things about at present. It's a brief respite to indulge in some conscious playfulness.

    1. Great Michelle. Laughter is a good response for this poem. I am warmed by such responses. Humour is important.

  10. Oh, I hate those wobbly-wheeled carts. But the worst thing ever was when I had one loaded and was pushing it out to my car that was parked at the far end of the parking lot ('cause I couldn't get any closer) and an auto lock mechanism went into effect... locking the wheels to prevent theft of the cart... only good thing was it wasn't raining at the time.

    1. Alice, I can feel your pain and frustration. Wobbly and locked- that's a double whammy. May the weekend treat you kindly.
