We move towards a new summer
A summer offering a new pathway
A summer like no other
A summer now tinged with watchfulness
Last summer's fires
And this year's insidious virus
Have seen to that
The sun will warm our spirits
There will be swimming
and ice-cream
and laughter floating in the air
And the collective hope of better days.

Alan, it is so exciting to see your Embraceable Summer poem and photo blog post. We all need collective hope fill the air. It is my hope that summer 2021 will be far different than what it looked like this year. Nature is there for us to indulge in without sadness. You have now added a new medium for my gallery-a link up to your post. I am sharing this link at Poetry Friday this week. Thanks for letting me travel to Australia virtually.
